Our Speed Queen Model AWM492W (AWM492 in the manaul) top load washer has a water leak under the tub only on medium or heavy loads during the drain and spin cycle only. Water fans out and hits all four sides (the bottom 12 inches or so) of the washer. Is the washer worth saving? Is there an easy way to repair it? Thanks in advance.

Leaking at the tub seal - will require this part - http://www.repairclinic.com/0080.asp There are a few additional items noted on that page that will ease in assembly. I can't say if it is worth it or not, depends on how old it is and its condition. The kit comes with detailed instructions.
