After reading some of the past post, I decided to replace the 2 coils and the fuse after my Kenmore 80 series gas dryer would no longer produce heat. This repair did not seem to help my problems. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Need a little background Stince. Model number, does the igniter glow? If so, does the gas ever ignite? Does the igniter ever stop glowing? Also, do you have a meter we can do some cks with?

Thank you for the reply! The model No. is 11070802990. Assuming that you check for the glow by removing the small square plastic insert located on the lower left corner of the front, I have not seen anything glow. I do have a meter. Is this any help? Thanks! Last edited on Tue Jul 11th, 2006 05:20 am by stince |

I would check the igniter and the flame switch down at the gas valve with my ohm meter, would suspect the igniter is broken or the flame switch is open...
