Pull the suction hose off the pump and clean out the coins and bobby pins. Look inside the pump, too, to check for detritus there as well.  If the noise remains, replace the pump. Part link for pump: http://www.repairclinic.com/referral.asp?R=154&N=916709

Pulled the suction hose and did not find any foreign objects! Pulled the discharge hose to check the impeller and found nothing. The impeller is difficult to turn with finger pressure so I think the pump is mechanically defective. Tnx for your help!
