Sounds like the brake has failed. Use this diagram to check it out.

Samurai, what are you doing to this poor guy??? Sending him to the diagram to that dangerous brake pak and not giving the warning "DON'T TRY TO TAKE THE BRAKE PAK APART IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING."

This guy isn't even a "Grasshopper" yet, just "Loitering in th e Threshold" and he won't make it to Grasshopper if he tries to disassemble that brake pak..........

Good point, Willie!

Swillyone, although is the Dependable Care washer and not the Atlantis, and so doesn't have quite the tendency to remove fingers, the brake can still be tricky to work with so DON'T TRY TO TAKE THE BRAKE PAK APART IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

Hello, my suggestible friend. I suggest that you have nothing to lose at this point by attempting the repair yourself.
