The first problem with my kenmore dishwasher(mod# 363.15161793) was it wouldn't fill. So I replaced the water inlet valve and checked the float switch and that didn't fix it. So I poured water into the tub manually and it will run, but then won't drain. Any suggestions? This thing is really frustrating me(but that doesn't mean I want to give up and call a repair person). Thanks.

Let's identify root causes by making some voltage measurements. If you're not getting voltage to the float switch or to the motor, then you probably have a bad timer/control board. http://www.repairclinic.com/referral.asp?R=154&P=51
