If the motor is running during spin and the belt's not broken, then you probably need the transmission pulley and bearing kit: http://www.repairclinic.com/referral.asp?R=154&N=1042142

You will need to raise your top of the unit. Use a putty knife and place it in the gap between the top and the front panel. Slide the knife till you hit something about 2" in. This is the side of one of your retaining clips. Remove the knife and press it straight in to depress the clip and raise the top. After you have the top up, you would want to check for articles of clothes that might of gotten stuck either under the plastic tub cover or between the tubs. If none is found, with the top raised, put the unit into spin. If all sounds like it should be spinning and it isn't, try to spin the inner basket like a roulette wheel clockwise while it is in this position. If you can now spin it freely with the unit running in spin but it only moves under your power and not the machines, your transmission is shot. If you can move it like a roulette wheel, this means the brake is releasing and your belt, thrust bearing, tub bearing, motor, motor pulley, rotor and stator are all doing there job. If you can not move it freely, your brake has not released and we will have to do more tests to confirm the failure. If it is your trans, the part might still be covered by the manufacturers warranty and you would only owe for labor.

No! Not death by spanner wrench! That's bad but might not be as messy as the dreaded jack-o-lantern hari-kari...![]()
