We have lived in our home for one year. This past month our Dryer has not been able to dryer clothes in the "normal" amount of time; 2 to 3 times longer. My husband cleaned the venting system, inside the dryer, hose to the dryer, replaced the hose, checked the vent hose to the house(20')-which is a direct shot as dryer sets on outside wall of our utility room. We had the locals in, they checked the venting system, too and said that the temp was hot in the dryer, the temp was hot on the outside vent of the dryer but for some reason after about 15 min of drying time it starts losing heat?!! They suggested a new dryer. I took the dryer to a near by town, for repairs, they kept it for a week. They checked everything out and replaced the hi/low limit thermostats. Ran a few loads of laundry, said good luck, it still does'nt dry as fast as it should but is better than it was. Any suggestions?

10 year old Whirlpool Dryer Model LGR7646EQ3 heats but doesn't dry. Still sounds like an air flow problem , the burner will shut off if there is any blockage of air flow...try the dryer with the vent hose removed from the dryer to see if it dries better....if so need to install booster fans in the house vent system. If it still does not dry well watch the burner to see if it comes back on after it cycles off...if not your coills are bad on top of the gas valve...
