You'll need to post your model number. I first check the power connections in the junction box, behind the kickplate. Make sure they're good n' tight, not burned. Then it's time to cut power to the dishwasher and go inside the control panel. The door switches have been a weak point on these so put your meter on those while stress testing the switches. Make sure the wires on the switches aren't loose or discolored. Also check the connections to the control board.

i forget if that model runs a ribbon cable or wires down the door try this remove front panel run machine and while running wiggle the wire or cable whichever you have near the bottom of the door, where they bend all the time when to door is opened, you'll prolly get your power failure to light up while doin this

You could do as BrntToast suggested above, and check the wiring at the bottom of the door. Other than that, best off register and start a new thread on this.
