I was taking the back off my Kenmore Washing machine (Model # 11092282100) and a clip fell off and I didn't get to see where it came from.  It looks like item # 669300 on repairclinic.com.  Where does it go and how do I put it back on?

Thanks a ton!

Does come up in the parts search, however the back does not come off of these washers, the whole case has to come off from the front.  Guess need better details??

Hmmm... the back definitely comes off.  It's a Kenmore 80 series.  Model # 11092282100, if it'll help, serial # CC3436389.  I found the part at:  http://www.repairclinic.com/0080.asp But I don't know where to put it.

Thanks again

The back is not supposed to come off, put it that way, that is one of the two clips that hold the case onto the back panel, you will need to flip the console up, put the back back on and remove the case from the front, those two clips hold the case to the back.

Yes the back does come off, :( but the correct way to take a kenmore apart for service is to pull off the plastic side panels on the control panel, gentle upward pressure and they should snap right off, the reason that I am telling you this is because you really need to know this to get it back togather right.

once those are off, then you will see a phillips screw on each side of the control console, remove those, then slide the console forward and up, there will be two wire disconects, and then there are some sort of s shaped clips, one on each side, use a flat blade screwdriver, and into the top of the case pry them backward, that would pop them free, then you would grab the case where you would lift the lid, and pull it forward, allow the bottom to slide slightly tward you and then remove the full case, giving you acsess to the whole washer.

I think that you are talking of the red clip in the photo, if so you are using it correctly, it is to secure the tube for the water level switch, and it need not be placed in a specific spot.

Get the case out of the way, then put the back back on with the two screws that you removed from the bottom, reinstall the water valve, ect, and hold on to the clip until you are ready to reverse the process above, when you ut the case back on there will be a indention on the back of the case, this is where the wires, and tube go through to the bottom without being pinched, get your tube through there, and then find a place for the clip, I would say that you have a three on the suds-o-meter on this for a first timer:guzzle:
