We have a Whirlpool Design 2000 MOdel # LA7700XPW0 it must be about 13-14 years old. It runs but will only let the hot water come in. We have checked the hose connection from the faucet and everything seems fine. Help

Does your valve hum? If so, the screen may be clogged.If not, and you have your machine set on cold,your valve is probably bad.

I can't remember the last time this problem wasn't fixed by REPLACING THE WATER INLET VALVE.
