I've cleaned out the lint throughout the dryer and vent system, but when I connect the vent pipe dryer will heat, then shut off after about 10-15 seconds. If I disconnect the vent, the gas flame stays lit. I've swapped the thermister. Is this indicative of a faulty coil?

Short lengths of flexible metal may be OK, if not crimped when moving the Dryer into place. NO plastic NO PVC NO screws Foil Duct Tape is OK. With an empty load, Timed Dry, High Heat, the vent temperature should cycle somewhere between 135F and 160F If you have a Harbor Freight Store near you, click on picture $ 2.99 ![]()

thanks for your reply. I've cleaned out the vent pipes thoroughly, but am still having the flame out problem. Assuming the ventilation is good, any suggestions?

If your sure it stays on with the Vent disconnected, then it would seem to be a Vent problem or a low air-flow problem (Blower) Check the temperatures ..
