complaint was: washer not rinsing so I went there expecting to find a bad water valve or timer. What I saw was an Inverter type GE top load that never deep rinsed. I checked the tech sheet and cycle chart and noticed there was a long spin after wash and then a slow spin with a spray rinse. After that it goes to final spin. Anyone else had complaints on this?

did'nt get it but it's an electo mechanical timer with an inverter motor,Is this how they all are now?saving water by not rinsing?

yes, both GE and whirlpool have a failed attempt at this, the final "rinse" is just a spin where water is sprayed in, no agitation with a full tub you will get complaints, and there is nothing that can be done about it, cause its a piss poor design, specially if the load has a few garments that are water repellant, like splash pants and they wind up on the outside of the load during this final "rinse/spin" i have one of these GE type washers in an apartment building i service, it brings in a 1/4 of the money any of the other mashers do cause tenants have realised it does a crappy job whirlpools attempt was a wee bit better, they tried to spay the water from 2 different angles during this rinse/spin, but it still left clothes crunchy Last edited on Sat Nov 13th, 2010 08:19 pm by BrntToast ____________________ The only stupid question is the one not asked hope i've been helpfull, if you wish to buy Brnt beer kick here http://brnttoast.googlepages.com/home feel free to prvt msg frigidaire questions my way (i dont log in every day) |
