 I have the stated Whirlpool Gas Stove-Oven.   I have looked at the FAQs to help diagnose my issue.  I placed an accurate thermometer in the oven and turned the oven on to 480 degrees F.  I left it on for 20 or so minutes and the temperature on the thermometer indicated a temp of approximately 370 degrees F (i.e., roughly 100 degrees lower than the LED oven display of 480 degrees!!).  Any suggestions to fix my problem?  Is it the thermostat or maybe something wrong in the circuit board?  Thanks. :?

 what type of thermostat? is it an analog dial type? if so they take about 45 minutes to an hour to even out.

Yes, whatever temp I set the "digital" display to, the oven heats until the board cycles off (indicated by "beeping" sound) at the temp setting I wanted.  However, like I said, the actual oven temp is not even close to the displayed temp on the board.

No, I don't think so.  It is electronic with digital display board.  No "knobs" are utilized to set the temp (push button - up & down arrows).

 Well, good news and possibly bad bad news.  I finally got around to checking the temp. sensor.  Thanks so much for all the help, guys.

Anyway, when I tried to reach back and pull my gas oven away from the wall, to get to the plug and back panel, there was a loud pop-spark.  It through my kitchen breaker.   I went ahead and pulled the oven out, unplugged the unit, and tried to ass happened.  The only thing I could figure was the the small "cover panel" in the back was loose  and it "shifted" and touched an "unprotected" wire (pop).  :yikes: .......So, I went ahead and tested the temp sensor and the reading was around 220 ohms, give or take.  So, I assume that has been my problem?  I ordered a new sensor with expedited shipping.  I will await its arrival, install, put everything back together, and hope (gosh I hope) I didn't "fry" anything.  Arrggghhhh.

 Ok.  Here is the latest.  I got everything back together and made-it so that I can reconnect the new temp sensor from inside the oven, once I it is in.  I checked the old temp sensor, once I removed it from the oven and I guess I was reading my meter wrong.  The reading "correct" reading is around 1,000 ohms.  So, the temp sensor may not be my problem, any ideas? 

Also, I think the reason I tripped a breaker was because the small metal cover plate touched the wiring to the oven light.  Not it stays on ALL THE TIME.  Any ideas on this (fried the switch maybe)?  Oh my, I'm digging a hole, help!!!
