Sorry we missed your first topic. It's kind of a long shot based on your description, but it's worth checking the drive block. Details==> http://fixitnow.com/wp/2010/07/07/diagnosing-and-repairing-spin-and-agitate-problems-in-a-whirlpool-kenmore-direct-drive-washer/ If the drive block is okay, then you're looking at a bad transmission.

Thanks so much for your response. The vid showed how to replace the drive block, but doesnt really say how to eyeball it to see if its the culprit. I guess Im going to get down and see if the clutch is turning while its on spin, and if its turning, that would narrow it down to the clutch, drive basket, or drive block, right? Just wondering if theres anyway to look at, and determine if it needs to be replaced before shelling out any bucks.
