Leaking like a racehorse from the drum. Have only opened up the back panel so far. Ran a rinse cycle to see where the H2O is coming from...all visible hose connections are tight...water pours from the bottom of drum while filling. Washer has dryer stacked on top with fancy schmancy bracket overlapping top trim of washer...Doh! Grasshopper need help and beer, prefer help first, then beer. What's the best way to proceed?

all leaks should be visable, have a closer look where the water comes from on the friggy built washers it is possible the leak comes from poor torque on the tub bolts as earlier posted, other causes are a foreign object that was caught in the spin basket wearing a hole in the outer plastic shell. it might also be a small hole in the bellows(gasket between the tubs and door) or from a hidden spot behind the concrete counter balance weight(if the weight becomes loose it rubs through the plastic and leaks) remember when looking for a leak, water runs downhill, always look up and follow the leak trail it might sound silly but this does aid in finding mystery leaks at the source, my favorite friend TANG orange drink crystals, throw some in the tub, it will stain the water orange, rather than transparant, this might make it easier to trace the leak to its source, and its safe for the washer and yourself

Thanks for the info.- turned out to be a hidden, very large tear in the boot. You saved me a lot of time! Now I have the boot and getting ready to install it myself. Not real confident, will give it a try...as Yoda says "There is no try, just do." Grasshopper no have PM privileges.

heres a tip those lil plastic things they give you to keep the spring in place as it goes around the tub dont work worth a damn, they shoot out half way through dig in your socket sets and find one that fits in the groove nice and tight to keep that spring in place that job is designed for mutants with a third arm growing out of their chest, or a second person for one extra hand to hold those retainers(sockets) in place also if the instructions dont say it, tilt the machine back so its resting 45 degrees against the wall, this way the tub will lean back aand give a bit more working room

Thanks for the reply. Figured out it was a hidden tear in the boot. Have a new one and heard it was about as much fun as a root canal to install it. Wish me luck Master...
