I have a Kenmore top load clothes washer model 110.29822800. Of course it's just 3 months past warranty. Anyway, the washer is supposed to fill up and then start agitating. As soon as you turn it on it starts agitating while filling when it should fill first, then agitate. The actual wash cycle seems very short. At the end of the last spin cycle the tubs stops spinning, then the water comes on for about a minute and then all action stops. It seems that the machine is not in sync and cycles are activating randomly. I have the control panel off and have looked at the parts schematic on the Sears Parts site. The only two parts I can think of that may be causing the malfunctions are the timer and/or the electronic control that is attached the timer. The electronic control, which I assume is the brains of the operation, may have gone haywire. I hate to order both parts but would even hate more to call for service. Do you have any suggestions or tests I can perform to troubleshoot this problem.

Well, you guys put me on the right track. I read some other posts that said you should be able to pull the clear hose off the load sensor switch and be able to blow air through it. I tried that and could hear some gurgling on the other end. Tried the washer and it worked. On the second load now and all seems OK. Thanks

keep an eye on it, if it failed once it will most likely fail again.

What do you think was the culprit, the sensor or whatever is on the other end of the hose? Thanks

sensor, there's nothing at the other end. the tube connects to the outer tub. The load sensing switches are a known high failure part. Hang on a minute and let me check your timer style.
