Customer called said the dryer will not start, code F-02. tech sheet indicated faulty keypad............nope, keypad tested O.K...............After checking motor circuit, there was no power out of the relay on the control board........... Installed new board, unit will start , run about 5 seconds then stop, then code F-40......... That is strange, the tech sheet only has failure codes up to F-30.......... ( Flashback to first visit, I checked the plug before plugging it into the receptical, found that L-1 and L-2 had burnt marks on them. I asked the customer what happened......He said that there was a metal cover plate and he did not pull the plug out straight ) .......... Back to the future, SO when I hold the start button down it stays running, release the button it stops........... SO what is F-40......... got a few ideas but ran out of time this afternoon......

Ya gotta love us rednecks, the customer called and was using the machine.... He put a large 'C'-clamp over the console and aligned the clamp with the start button and tightened the clamp, unit runs........he said he did three loads this way and the next load the unit stayed running after the start button was pushed ............... we will see.. Called the customer today to check-up on the dryer.. ( Want to collect the rest of the greenbacks )..............He said some times it will start and stay running after pushing the start button , other times he has to resort to using the 'C' clamp.............. F-40 is " Flashes if the communication between the machine control and motor control is lost " That is all fine and dandy but on this unit there is no ' motor control board '........... Only one motor for the blower and tumble, belt drive blower................... new board P/N W10111616 is an equal to the old part number........
