I have a Kenmore 417.94152500 gas dryer, that was converted to propane, but I have now moved somewhere where I have to use Natural Gas. I can't find the part and didn't do the conversion myself. So my question is, is it just the orrifice? I found a place to order the orrifice, but is there anything else that needs changed? Isn't there a blocking pin or something? Is there a reconvert kit somewhere, or what parts will I need?

You will need the N/G orifice and I think the blocking pin in the regulator is used for L/P (blocks it from regulating), if you unscrew the insert you can cut off the pin - some of them you can just pull the pin out or flip the cap

So I can buy the orrifice, but they don't seem to sell the cap to replace the pin that is in there. Someone said I can just snip the pin. Is that safe?

You don't need to change the burner or ignitor, just the orifice and replace the blocking pin with the vent cap. When you change from Nat to LP you get a new stainless still burner scoop which will work fine when switched back to Nat. The original burner scoop isn't stainless steel and I believe it has something to do with corrosion, the non-stainless for some reason probably doesn't hold up well to LP gas?

Cool. That is what I was woried about, whether I needed a new ignitor,, burner, and all that other stuff. Or if I could just do the orrifice and the blocking cap. Sounds like I should give that a try first, so I ordered the orrifice. So the question still remains: Can I just pull the clocking pin from the LP conversion kit that is on there, snip it short/pull it off, and then put the cap back on? Will it work the same as the original NG blocking cap? or do I need to find a place that will sell it, because I can't find a place that does.

Sorry, I mean "blocking cap". Can I just snip or remove the pin from the LP cap that is on there now? Or do I actually have to ge t a NG venting cap? I can't find anywhere that sells one. I can't be the first person that has lost their parts in a move, so it is kind of funny that they don't make a reconvert kit.

I don't know if it's a match but I just converted a Kenmore/Whirlpool gas dryer from LP to natural gas and used orifice #234826 and limiter/"blocking cap" #694424. The limiter/blocking cap on a natural gas valve only caps off the hole.

The vent limiter cap for NAT. gas, (No blocking pin), actually has a very small vent hole which I don't know if the LP blocking pin cap has the vent hole or not, (it does, I just remembered I had a LP blocking pin cap and checked it out before finishing this post). I believe the vent needs to be there for the regulator to work correctly, so clipping the blocking pin off the LP cap should take care of it and work totally fine. You will just have to find another LP blocking pin cap if you ever want to go back to LP gas.

I just realized there is a big red sticker that says "This control manifold has been converted for use with LP gas at a rate of 20,000 BTU/HR and a pressure of 11" W.C." I am just wondering: is this just the stock sticker to indicate the orifice and limite cap/venting cap have been changed? Or is tehre something else, like anew valve or something? I just don't want to blow anything up. I am pretty sure this sticker is just talking about the orifice and the limiter cap.
