I am having problems with my gas dryer , it heats up for a few minutes , then flame goes out , it will try again in a few minutes , flame re lights but goes out in a few minutes. i have replaced valve coils . any help would be appreciated . thank you

I HAVE BEEN RUNNING IT WITH NO VENT CONNECTED , FOR THIS TESTING STAGE. I ALSO REMOVED THE DRUM BUT HAVE CLOSED FRONT AND TOP PANEL

I HAVE CHECKED ALL THE THERMOSTATS AND THEY HAVE CONTINUITY , HOWEVER THE THERMOSTAT THAT HAS 4 WIRES ON IT , ON THE BLOWER HOUSING , ONLY SHOWS CONTINUITY ON THE OUTER 2 CONTACTS , THE INNER 2 CONTACTS ARE OPEN. IS THIS NORMAL ?

You may need to monitor the voltage across the Thermostats while the Dryer is running by extending your meter probes with wires. Careful there's 120v AC on those wires ..  OR bypass each of the Hi-Limit Thermostat, and the Operating Thermostat, one at a time, but monitor the temperature Dryer Vent Vent should be rigid metal. Short lengths of flexible metal may be OK, if not crimped when moving the Dryer into place. NO plastic NO PVC NO screws Foil Duct Tape is OK. With an empty load, Timed Dry, High Heat, the vent temperature should cycle somewhere between 135F and 160F If you have a Harbor Freight Store near you, click on picture

I ASSEMBLED THE WHOLE DRYER , MINUS THE BACK PANEL. I HAVE SOME CLOTHES IN THERE NOW. I ALWAYS USE AOTOMATIC DRY , STARTING ON JEANS SETTING. IT SEEMS TO BE DRYING THE CLOTHES , ALTHOUGH I AM NOT SURE IT IS ADVANCING THROUGH THE CYCLES ON THE DIAL , IN OTHER WORDS , THE DIAL MAY NOT BE MOVING. I WILL CHECK IT IN A WHILE. THE DAY THE DRYER STOPPED DRYING , I SAW THAT THE DIAL HAD NOT MOVED SINCE I SET IT ON JEAND MODE (AUTO DRY)

STILL TRYING TO SEE IF DIAL HAS MOVED , NOT SURE YET. but it seems like the flame comes on and stays on for a while. the dryer has not gone completely cold , as it had before i changed valve coils. i will let u know as soon as i can 100 % determine if dial is moving . sorry about this , it is like watching a clock , it never seems to move while u sit there.

YES, The dial has advanced and the clothes are getting dryer , burner seems to be a ok . . I wonder if when the dryer had stopped drying , i noticed that the dial DEFINETELY had NOT moved from where i originally set it , is this due to the fact that no heat will cause 1 of the thermostats NOT to send power to the timer assy , thus the dial will not advance ? OR have I been reading too much ? plese note : i always use auto dry.

the clothes are dry. i want to thank you for your help , if u can , i would like an answer concerning the no movement of dial , when i had no heat . i will run another load of clothes when needed , THEN if it works AGAIN , i will re install back cover . thanks again !
