ANYONE KNOW WHY MY FRIGIDAIRE CONTROL PANEL WOULD BLACK OUT WHEN THE OVEN DOOR IS CLOSED? JUST STARTED TODAY, I HAVE TO OPEN THE OVEN DOOR FOR THE CONTROL PANEL TO LIGHT UP.(FOUND THIS OUT BY MISTAKE). I CAN COOK ON THE BURNERS, BUT CAN'T BAKE, AS SETTING THE OVEN WITH THE CONTROLS, THEN CLOSING THE OVEN DOOR, CAUSES THE CONTROL PANEL TO BLACK OUT, THUS CANCELLING THE OVEN SETTINGS.

Check your circuit breaker and check the terminal block where the power cord attaches to the range. I believe you have lost one side of your 220 volt power feed, either at the circuit breaker or somewhere in the range. When you open the door it turns the oven light on which then back feeds the good 110 volt leg of power back up to your ERC, (electronic range controller).
