My big upright freezer has bit the dust and I decided to replace it with a small chest manual defrost freezer since the household is now smaller and we just don't need another big one.  I am looking at a Kenmore 6.9 Cu Ft, Frigidaire 7.2 Cu Ft and a GE 7.0 Cu Ft chest freezers.  I have seen recommendations for Whirlpool, but they don't seem to make a chest freezer that size any more.  They are all priced about the same, so that is not the issue.   Rated energy usage is similar for all.

What is your brand recommendation?  Most of the buyer reviews I have seen have been from people owning them only a short time.

Thanks in advance!  :D

the Kenmore may be made by Whirlpool, depending on the first (3) digits of the model number on the tag

110.xxxxxxx

198.xxxxxxxx

ect ..
