my serial# is A5966023cv. what i have noticed from looking this problem up is a burn on the motor control board or a blown fuse, but my board does not have a fuse on it.. i noticed on the jp4 connector has a blue corrosion on it and also on the board. wondering if that is the cause for the dr symbol. I tried to look for a new connector or even just the pins that go on the wires but am having no luck. the wires are blue, red and yellow with a white jumper on it.

im aware i will prob need the convertion kit but im also looking for the wire harness that runs from machine control conn2 to the jp4 on the motor control board.. also would like to know if the blue corrosion on the jp4 connector would cause the "LR" signal to come on? stumped and frustrated. I would appreciate it. couldn't find the harness on the parts list.

Depending on how bad the corrosion is, you may just be able to clean it up. The bigger question is how did that corrosion get there; is there a leak? Take a photo and post it so we can see it. Use a free online image hosting service.

your serial number is too new for the conversion kit... so if you need a motor control, you can order just the control.

Here are the pictures http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f84/juliedesmarais/PA230152.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f84/juliedesmarais/PA230157.jpg I don't see a fuse on the motor control board. Also, I need to find the wire harness from the connection #2 on the main board to the JP4 connector because I cut the JP4 connector off and can't put it back together. There is a crack in the tub seal, which is probably where the leak is coming from. I already ordered a new one from your site.

I thoght i could get new metal pins for the wires, put them in the connector and the plug it back into the motor control board, but i guess i was wrong.got a new gasket or seal the " big grey one " on the inside of the door because it was torn.Is their any way i can either get the 3 wire harness machine control conn2 to the jp4 on the motor control board. I realize now that it wasn't very smart of me. just need to fix it now Read more: maytag neptune washer mah5500bww . - The Laundry Appliance Repair Forum - Do-It-Yourself Appliance Repair Help - ApplianceGuru.com: The Samurai Appliance Repair Forums http://applianceguru.com/forum2/28093.html#ixzz138dEtzIu Get appliance parts at http://parts.fixitnow.com
