Our water line was turned off while "Granite Men" (not made of Granite mind you) installed new counter tops. We stared at our lovely new kitchen, then had to go off for a week to work, and had no idea the water line was off. So the trough is frozen, and I was able to get a hunk of ice out. However, am I reading the forum and FAQ correctly in that I need to get new parts, I can't just attack it with the old hair dryer? Ice is important to our well being this weekend, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! (with a warm cocktail)

Well, I thawed it out inside, where I can see, but I haven't heard it fill yet. Was reading on here, and got the impression I should NOT use the hair dryer. Just wander to make sure I SHOULD go ahead and thaw it.
