Have a Kenmore Elite Calypso Dryer. A few days ago, it started shutting off with clothes still wet. It will run for about 5 minutes then shut off like it is done, but the clothes will not get dry. The "Lint" light is now illuminated. I have checked the lint screen and it is clear. I removed the front access panel and opened the vent duct. I removed the front cover of the duct and it had a fair amount of lint in the front, but nothing bad. I cleaned it all out and put it back together, but the "Lint" light is still illuminated. The vent hose seems clear. I did not remove the squirrel cage blower but from what I could see around it, there did not appear to be any blockage. What could be my problem? This is amazing. The week before, my Calypso Washer crapped out. Now this. thanks Gary

The model number is 110.64082201. The washer was the u-joint and most likely the levelor.

that comes as a kit if you wanted to replace it... http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/U-Joint-kit/959506 your dryers owners manual http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/L0309535.pdf page 18 states: CHECK LINT SCREEN flashes to remind you to clean the lint screen before starting a cycle. The light turns off when you open the dryer door or press Start. if you press the More Time button. then Less time. then more time then less time again, it should enter test mode. then open your dryer door, it will beep and change the display... then lick your finger or wet a paper towel and put it on the moisture sensor bars. they will be to the right of the lint screen facing where the clothes would be. if it chimes alot or beeps a lot then your moisture sensor bars are fine... if not, we need to look into it more. else, replace your thermistor

Well, I can't seem to get it to go into test mode. I did as you instructed and when I open the door it doesn't do anything. Is there some setting that I need to adjust before hitting the more/less time button sequence?

OK. I got it into test mode. I was trying to set it when in a dry mode. I tried it with it all shut down and it worked. The code that was displayed was "SE". I put a wet paper towel against the sensor bars and they beeped and the display flashed. So they are fine I suppose. So, is it the thermister? Is that difficult to replace? Thanks Gary

Also, when in test mode, all the lights were displayed. And there was an "SE" in the timer window. G

thats the version code its ok... yes i would say the thermistor.. cheap and easy to replace. take off the lower front kick panel. remove the blower housing where the lint screen goes. the thermistor is right there with 2 screws on it. http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Thermistor/1181075?modelNumber=110.64082201
