I have a 2002 kenmore front load washer , model 41742142100. I replaced the bearings because they were noisey. Now the washer will not go into fast spin half the time. It doesn't seam to matter if the load is heavy or if the machine is warm or cold. Some times it works and some times it doesn't, but it's getting worse. I checked out the timer and the motor according to the schematic, and all the ohms and voltages were close( my ohm meter wouldn't read as accurately as required for the mega ohms, but it was close ). My wife says the tub doesn't spin as easy as the old bearing did, but it turns pretty free. Everything worked fine before I changed the bearing, it was just loud during the fast spin. At least we knew it was working then. What went wrong? Could it be the motor control board just happend to fail at that same? Is the new bearing slightly to tight? Help.

may be a bad Door Lock Assembly ... any error codes ? When it won't Spin fast, unplug the Washer from the Wall Outlet. Can you open the Door right away, or only after a few minutes ?

the bearing my be binding. check to see if it turns freely... maybe you have some loose connections from when you did the bearing job?

Pumping out ok? Nothing in drain going to pump, drain hose to pump kinked, or items in the pump itself? Pressure hose clear, not kinked?
