The dryer vibrates like crazy. The drum seems fine it rotates smoothly by hand and I disconnected the belt and ran the motor and still got the vibrations. I read that the problem could be the blower clogged with lint etc. I got the dryer used and it was full of lint. I determined that one of the blower fan blades was broken - the broken piece came shooting out the exhaust vent when I ran it with the belt disconnected and I looked at the fan and saw the place the blade was missing. It appears I need to replace the blower (do I?), but before I do that I want to ask if that will be a waste of time and money if there is any chance the bottom of the dryer, where the motor and blower housing mounts are located, is warped or bent a little. Looking at it it is fine, but one of the feet was bent so there might be some warping. I'll take any advice! Thanks!!!!!!

Thanks. I believe that is the injured part. Should I worry about the mounting points?

What kind of pictures would help? It's a pretty standard dryer with vibrations from the motor/blower assembly. One blade is broken off the blower. It still gets good air circulation it just shakes a lot.

The bending is minimal and the floor is level. I've ordered a replacement blower. Hope to have that in a day or so and will install and hope that solves the problem. Thanks for your help.

with the drum out pull up on the motor near the back,at the same time spin the motor shaft and see if it rubs its possible the rubber mount on the motor is bad, once you have the belt on the belt tension lifts the motor causing the fan to rub

The fan is rubbing inside the blower housing. How can I take a picture of that? If it is the rubber in the motor mount - I think it might be because pulling on the motor does make a difference - what do I do? Thanks!

I was afraid that was the answer. When do I stop investing in this dryer and go for a new one?

I got it used and the seller claimed it was less than a year old. I believe it is 4 or 5 years old. She also didn't tell me it had some problems. It came with the matching washer. $600 for the pair. The washer is fine. I guess it is worth investing in a motor before I give up. Thanks!
