Freezer is frosting over and food compartment does not get very cold.

Initiated defrost test mode and everything seemed to work fine.

Does this mean that the ADC board is bad and needs to be replaced?

Thanks for the help!

Defrost heater turned on in test mode, ran for a while and turned itself off.

Frost pattern was evenly distributed after compressor had run through the night, 6 hours or so.  I ran the defrost test again this morning, which cleared up the frost.  I'll take pictures after I get home from work tonight.  How often should the defrost be running?  How much frost should I expect to see after 12ish hours?

If it helps diagnostics at all, I think that the food compartment was not getting cold air because the pass through holes were packed with ice before I ran the defrost test mode.  After clearing the ice, the cold air from the freezer is now getting to the fridge.

ADC board isn't initiating defrost. You'll need to replace it==> http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Circuit-Board-or-Timer/1174817?modelNumber=106.74269400

Part ordered.  Thanks for the help.

It seems counter intuitive to me that the defrost test mode will cycle even when the adc board is bad.  I'm glad you guys are here!

How often should I run the test cycle to keep the frost under control while awaiting delivery of the new board?

Thanks!
