I have an Amana BX21TL frig that came with the house.  In the last week I have noticed water on the floor in front of the frig.  I have cleaned the coils behind the front grill.  Is there a defrost pan and if so how do I check it or leaks or clogging?

Sounds like your defrost drain system is clogged, start with removing everything in the freezer including the back wall to see if you can find and remove whatever is stopping the water from going into the drain pan underneith the frig if the drain pan does not have a hole or crack in it.
