New fridge installed 9/15/10. Have run a minimum of 10 gallons of water through the dispenser and am still getting a very strong plastic taste. Never had this problem with old fridge.

The world of plastic tubing and BPA! Fun fact to know and tell: it is always good to avoid drinking water that's been in plastic. Plastic imparts not only taste and odors to water but also harmful chemicals, like BPA. In your present case, I think you're just going to have to run more water through the dispenser and tubing to get rid of the odor.
