Picked up a nice blue Crosley (By LG) front load washer on a pedestal at the scrapyard.

Only thing I can find on the internet is spec sheets from company's that sell them and the user guide.

Can't find any parts break down listing at any of the sites I normally use, (Sears usually has everything and this doesn't show up).

Mod# GFW-8000GBL
Ser# KW081E34710082

Other models that are the same but different colors: GFW-8000G (S-silver, R-red, W-white)

The actual model number on the machine is GFW-8000GBL but have also found the user guide under GFW8000GBL, (No hyphen between W and 8).

Anyone have a service manual and a parts breakdown.

Also would like to know if anyone can tell me the build date from the serial number, the user manual was dated 2008 and it appears to be around that vintage.

Just put CFW-8000GBL in Google search and started going thru the results.

http://www.allwashingmachinereviews.com/crosley-washing-machine.html

The "Owners Manual" that is in the following link has the other color model numbers on the top of each page: http://www.specsserver.com/CACHE/FRSRGSIHJGTB.PDF

Here's a sales site that shows the other models/colors available.
http://www.keyesbury.com/productDetail.cfm?productID=27

Also, may not be built by LG.

All the door parts have part#'s stamped into the plastic pieces, RepairClinic is one of only two sites that come up with anything when I enter those part#'s.  No pictures available and none of the parts in stock at RepairClinic and another site that the part#'s actually show up, the list the parts as Daewoo and Asko, but no longer available.

Part#'s don't look like the LG part#'s I've seen, (IE. 5027JJ1008D).  All the part#'s are 10 digit, all numbers.

Door frame, Outer-Silver 3612206900
Door frame, inner 3612206800

Yep,

CFW2000's original Frigidaire 3.1? cbft frontloaders
CFW4000's & 4500's newer inverter board style 3.5cbft Frigidaire frontloaders
CFW5000's & 7500's Frigidaire Affinity full front style frontloaders

It's not like the CFW-8000GBL is brand new or anything, it's at least 2 or 3 years old, so it should show up on the parts sites somewhere.

That is what one of the parts was listed as, (and also ASKO).

Is ASKO in some way related to DAEWOO?

And now that you know what it is, are we any closer to finding tech info on it or why it's not listed at the parts sites?

Thanks for any incite you can give John...............

I have not yet had an opportunity to see/service a DAEWOO appliance.

What little that I do know about DAEWOO is that it is a S. Korean brand and was involved in massive government corruption/fraud. This resulted in the company being taken-over by the Korean gov't and the CEO was found guilty.

Subsequently---the Korean gov't broke up the company and sold off sections of it.

DAEWOO ELECTRONICS currently has a toe-hold in the US market and is struggling to establish market-share.

I'm not aware of any collaboration / partnership between DAEWOO & ASKO.

one of the partstore places lists:

Door Frame Ns
This part is no longer available for purchase.

Asko

Exactly, that is the site that I was stating the ASKO/DAEWOO info from and I can't see parts being no longer available, this is at the very oldest a 2007 machine.

RepairClinic and PartStore are the only places that came up with the part#'s stamped on the pieces as good numbers.

But then again, with the info that John stated, maybe people who have purchased these washers manufactured by DAEWOO are just out of luck now if they need parts?

I have heard the small Maytag (aka Samsung) washers referred to as "Daewoo machines"
