I took the oven door off from my built-in KitchenAid oven KEBC107KSS03. (Side note: the diagrams on the manual make no sense.) Now I'm trying to get it back on but it will not "click" into place. To make things worse, I must have tried a bit too hard and I shattered the glass!!! HELP! #1 - Do I have to get the outer glass door assembly to replace; or can I just get the glass door? #2 - How do I get the door back in place??? (Another side note: this oven is more of a pain than it's worth! I won't even talk about the blown thermal fuse after using self-cleaning feature and KitchenAid's lack of customer service on this matter.)

MFG. Part # 4452316 Repair Clinic Part # 590029 Repacement Link ![]() Do you have the door off already? If so you have to extend the hinges and place a screw or like object into the hole in the hinge to keep it extended to allow the hinge to lock into the reciever of the frame, then open the door fully and remove the screws.

Yes, I do have the door off already. So, if I understand correctly, with the door off I should extend the hinges, hold them in place (extended) with a screw, then put the door on the frame, insert hinges in the slots. Then, open the door all the way and remove the screws. I think my problem was (is) that the hinge is catching somewhere too soon and the door won't fall into place all the way in. By trying to push it in further that's when I shattered the glass. Thank you for the referral on the part.

Instead of the holes, your hinges have the latches. It works the same way..flex the hinges and rotate the latch. Install the door and open, release the latches. Read all about it on Page #22 of your owners manual Owners Manual
