I have a Kenmore HE3t washer #11044921300. Not long ago an unusually loud noise began occurring upon closing the door, even though the machine work normally. Then I found a small rubber 'bumper' about 1/4 inch long on the floor in from of the washer. It had broken in half, so I glued it back together. It appeared to be a component of the door lock (part #8181700), which I then removed and then disassembled to make sure. However, I haven't been able to install the 'bumper' within the door lock back in its orginial location. It is associated with the white uvula-shaped piece which is triggered by the door hook. A photo of the 'bumper' is attached. How exactly is the rubber piece situated related to the white uvula-shaped trigger within the door lock?
