I have an older maytag washer. The model # is A6065, the motor # is 2-1666-2.

I am a rookie at figuring out the wiring on the motor. (I'm used to more simple designs)

What I am attempting to do is wire up a simple on/off switch to the motor so I can make it spin when I need to. I am not using the washer to wash anything, just to spin dry stuff in my shop. The motor has 6 wires and I'm having trouble figuring out which wires are needed to conect to the leads and terminals.

The wire colors are: brown, yellow, red, white, orange, black. In that order from left to right. The switch is a simple on/off switch with two terminals. I will be bypassing all the original timer and switches.

Thanks for your help.
