I have a Maytag JetClean Dishwasher (model # MDB6000AWW) that usually fills once, but not again during any cycle. Checked the water supply and line and all seems ok. It does not seem to matter which cycle I select, the result is the same. The unit fills once, drains, and then will not fill again. The unit has to then wait several hours (cool down?) before it will fill again (again only once). The unit is about 10 years old, and we have had no issues with it until now.

This is almost always a bad fill valve==> Click

The valve operates normally once but then won't later because it gets hot. Can confirm by checking for voltage at the valve coil when it should be filling. If you get voltage but no fill ==> bad valve.

Samurai,

Thank you for your most excellent and quick response.  I confirmed that there was sufficient (120V) current to the fill valve while it was supposed to be filing, but was not.   I will be most happy to buy the valve you recommended and let you know how it turns out.

Cheers!
