I have an LG Tromm with the Error OE. I realize this is a drain error however the drum does not rotate at anytime. Do you think this could be the control board. I have cleaned the filter and checked for obstructions all seems clear. With the fact the drum will not agitate I am concerned it may be beyond the pump. Any input is appreciated.

The tub will not spin if the water has failed to fully drain. Remove the access cover on the front lower-left side of washer. Place a shallow pan on the floor and pull out the small black tubing (not all the way out though--it'll become kinked near the pump assy). Remove the small plug from the tube & drain out the water until the tub is empty. Place an old towel on the floor near the removeable strainer cap. Slowly remove the strainer cap until all remaining water has drained out onto the towel. Remove the strainer cap and inspect for blockage within the cap basket (strainer) as well as inside the pump assy (bright flashlight). If no blockage has been found--it's possible that a small piece of debris made it past the strainer into the drain motor impeller housing. The drain motor itself may have failed as well. Actually I have found it to be all of the above. Both the drain pump & the circulation pump need to be replaced. I found both a nail and a dime in the drain pump & the circulation pump is making noises. My Ex-daughter in law has used this for 18 months and now I know why she finally returned it. After removing both pumps and cleaning them the washer works fine so at least I am confident it is not the control board. The pumps though seem to be shot. When i dismanteled the drain pump the impeller assembly was full of water and gunk. A good cleaning and removal of the dime seemed to work. It will not last for long but at least it will not be as bad as a new controller (175.00) that is not required + 2 pumps ($98.00). It does not help she was not using the proper detergent either, what a smell I love this board, need to send beer.  Thank you for your help. Darryl

Hi, I'm having this same problem. I can tell that it is something with the pump. I found some steel wool in the pump filter and I can hear the pump struggling to turn. Is there a documented way to take this thing apart? Or could you quickly tell me what I need to do to get at the pump. Thanks, Duff
