Hi,  I have gone to some effort to explain to the best of my ability the behavious of my DW.  For this I have enlisted the help of my trusty and 'I hope' water proof camera to give you a birds eye view of a simple rinse cycle.

Any guidance for troubleshooting and next steps will be appreciated.

Posted Video can be found here

In summary these are the events and timings from the video:

0:00  Set the Rinse cycle for 7 minutes
Load the camera inside the unit for a birds eye view
0:50  Start the cycle
It begins what I assume is a drain sequence by default??
1:05  Fills Water
2:05  Fill Water complete
Stays Dormant
3:05  Drains the water
4:05  Fills Water
5:05  Fill Water complete
Stays Dormant
6:05  Faults to U1
Take you around the door seal and jams
I press the Power Button which triggers it to drain the water and remove the U1 code
Press Power on and the unit is back to square 1

I look forward to your advice.

Regards, Nick

ps: *** Please note the wood chippings and dirt in the drain bucket was already present in the bucket and not from the washer ***

Based on the fault code and this video the possible fault is with the Wash Pump esp since we don't see any 'rinsing' action in the video.

Prior, J5 suggested "if the wash pump is not running then you will prob need a wash pump capacitor"

Does this video indicate that the wash pump (part# 521506) is faulty and requires replacement or the capacitor or both?

I don't I hear anything that suggests the pump is working and there is a blockage leading toward the spray arms?

Regards, Nick

yes as i mentioned before the capactitor

i have changed quite a few capacitors and never changed a wash pump

if you check the capacitor you might find the guts blown out of it but on other occasions they just stop working

Thanks for confirming. I have removed the capacitor and no visible fault. I can source a replacement hopefuly this week to test it.

thanks again J5

J5,  replaced the capacitor today as you described.  My sincere thanks to you and the team here for the direct and accurate information for a quick and successful turnaround.  Total cost of rapairs

$17.50 AUD for the Capacitor
$5.60 USD for the Beer Mug donated today

A bargain I say!  The water looked quite dirty on the initial spray sequence in this video so I am now running a cleaning solution on a full cycle now.

Thanks again

ps: still looking for the roller door opener service manual if you come across it....
