Hello everyone,

I own a Jenn-Air JGS8750 gas range and one of the burners (lower right) no longer ignites using its own dial. The ignitor itself doesn't seem broken as I can ignite it using the neighboring dial (upper right burner's dial).

In other words, if I start the gas flowing for lower right by leaving its dial turned, and start the spark motion (push/semi-turn) for the upper right burner, then I see both burners sparking and the flame will start burning.

Although this is a nice workaround, it is a bit inconvenient... If this requires a simple fix, I'd much appreciate it if someone could post links to part numbers and/or instructions on disassembly/repair...

Any other suggestions or comments are also welcome.

Thank you for your time.

Check the microswitch located on the valve under the offending knob

The serial number on the installation manual says 8101P697-60

I googled this serial id, and picked from matching photos the closest model number I could find (JGS8750BDS? S for the stainless steel trim I'm guessing). I also found a similar unit on Sears.com with the model number JGS8850BDS17.

I will attempt to remove the knob and panel when I get home
tonight and report back.

Thank you.

This is just a part number of the literature, check the model/serial sticker on the unit for the correct information
