It usually has 2 black wires going to it that attach to the timer and is mounted with 1 screw. Some are actually taped into the harness right there where all the wires go into the timer in a clear plastic sheath

I seem to recall these being in the orange line and not necessarily on the timer - follow the orange wire that runs from the timer, the resistors sometimes looked lige a small disc, or a plastic circle that may or may not be attached to the console Last edited on Sun Jul 11th, 2010 08:47 pm by kdog ____________________ Can Ye spare some 'cutter me brutha ? http://web.me.com/zenzoidman/kdog/ |

appl.tech.29501 wrote: I can see the bulge from here Me too! Had the same thing happen to my own dryer awhile back, problem is that fried resistor was now sending too much voltage to my timer motor, and this caused the timer to fail as well so that the timer would no longer advance in the timed cycle either - therefore I was looking at replacing both the resistor and the timer when I decided that was just too much $ to put into a 22 year old specimen
