So in both timed and automatic mode, my dryer timer will turn like normal, but it reaches a point right before the off position where it just stops turning and the dryer continues to run. If the dial is manually turned to off it will stop. It only starts if I press and hold the start button like normal. Is this a resistor problem or timer issue? I am confused after reading all of the posts! thanks Kyle

Sounds like a resistor, I can't view your model at the moment though.

yes yours has a resistor![]() Resistor Link yours will look different (probably either straight and black or round and black usually attached to the timer mounting screw or right in that area.) I cant pull up a wiring diagram for this unit..if you have your it should show it on there and its value..like 15K i think..most of the time on the old one you can actually see a bulge on it were its blown.

Awesome thanks. Can I replace the old one with this new straight resistor? Also, any tips on finding this part for sale?

one update: timer is not advancing when in the auto dry mode. It only advances in the timed dry mode. Does this change things?

It doesn't advance at all in the auto dry mode? Does it shut off at the end of the timed dry mode?

It's next to, and connected to the Timer. It may look different. You could test it if you had a meter.
