I have a Whirlpool Dishwasher Model DU1100XTPQA by the s/n date code is 2007. The delay start 2-4-6 hr LED's stopped working a 3 wks ago. Now the dishwasher allows me to select Normal wash, Hi Temp Wash & Sani Rinse. I press the start button and the soak & scour LED or indicator illuminates momentarily and does not start. I found this service document: http://www.servicematters.com/docs/wiring/Tech%20Sheet%20-%208557727.pdf to aid in diagnosing the errors. I also took apart the front panel to check the control module it looks like this: http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-du1100xtpqa-%3d%3dc212i1373167&PartID=1373167 Using the above tech sheet, I did perform the service diagnostic cycle commands <heated dry><normal> x2 under 6 seconds. All the LED's on the front panel illuminate for the first 10s. Then the dishwasher starts the diag cycling however depressing the <start> button does not advance the diag cycles. So I leave the machine go through the cycles and here is what I observe during the cycles as far as LED's being illuminated: 1. All LED's illuminate 10s 2. Start, Normal & Washing 3. Start, Washing, Clean, Sanitize 4. Start, Washing 5. Start, Rinse 6. Start, Rinse, Drying, Clean 7. Start, Rinse, Drying 8. Shuts off NO LED's illuminated. Total time is appx 30 mins. Open dishwasher door, steam is coming out and it is nice and hot, dispenser released detergent, dishes are clean. Yaaa! I will test the control board during the daylight hours using my trusty Fluke Digital VOM and the keyswitch resistance check table on the 14 pin molex connector using the appropriate pos & neg leads and test points according to the tech sheet pg 1. Looks to me that either the front keypad panel or the control module is faulty or both. Seems though from the tech sheet that all the LED's illuminate during the start of diag cycle is good. Anything else I need to look for or test would be appreciated. Paddy0

Sounds like you have a bad touchpad/control console. If diagnostics where able to start and went thru ok the computer control module should be fine. Pretty common to see the touchpads going bad.
