When I start (any cycle) our Frigidaire Gallery Series GLTF2940ES front loading washer, the machine runs for 1 second (water comes in in wash cycles or drains in drain/spin cycle) and then the function stops. The machine continues to make a low humming noise, the clock will go down one minute, but does not change after extended times.

are both hot and cold water valves turned on? Is the cold water fill screen plugged with sand?

I'm not receiving any error codes; the electronic timer ticks down one minute and just holds at that time. Thanks for the link to the manual, but didn't see anything that addresses my issue. The water is running; I checked the water intake filters and they are clear. I appreciate the advice and any other insights you may have.

Roughly where in the machine is the humming coming from? You can remove the kickplates and help you localize it. Make sure the belt is still on the drum pulley. You can see this from the front with the kickpanels off.
