Hello, I have a Admiral Model:AAV8000AWW. Sometimes when it goes into spin cycle it gets pretty voilent, but other times it spins fine. I don't think that it is off balance load, because it is doing it to often. From what I am finding it is a worn snubber ring. Coild someone give me some insight on this, and tell me how to change it? I have had the front cover and the springs appear to be in good shape and everything else looks good. Do I have to remove the tub and the transmission, or can it be accessed from the bottom? Thanks!

Thanks! I found those in the bottom of the washer. Now what? I found a message that said to push in the door switch and turn on the spin cycle and see if the tub pulls to the right. It does.

Normally if you snubbe is bad when you remove the front panle and look in the center of the base you will see white powder in the trough...as well as if you grab the agitator and push it to its extreme in any direction it sould stay in place...if it drifts backs towards the center its definitely bad and will shake more with a heavier load......let us know and we can proceed if this is the case.

I opened the front cover and found no white residue. When I push it towards the outside it stays to the outside.

Sorry! I just pulled it apart and it was a pretty easy job. It did have white residue and the snubber is worn but not to a point where it damaged anything else. Everything else seames to be in good shape. I will get a snubber and replace it and keep you posted. Thanks!

You need to sand the trough with emery cloth and coat it with corn starch before reinstalling

OK! Will do. I am assuming that I am sanding the area wher the Snubber contacts the base?

I picked up a snubber and installed it. The new one was twice as wide as the old one. The washer seems to be operating correctly now. Thanks for your help!
