The title says it all. The turntable does not turn. Yes, I did, in fact, check to make sure that the turntable option on the control panel was set to "on." Any other quick fix ideas would be appreciated, though.

If you remove the plate and turn the spindle (?) by hand, it will rotate and you can hear the motor turning.

Thanks,

Mike

So if you manually start it, it will continue to run? If so you need a new motor

No, I mean that if you turn the spindle with your hand, it will turn freely (well, not freely, you can feel the motor turning as well), and you can feel and hear the motor turning as you spin it. I haven't found anything to make the motor start and work on its own.

I'm also not sure if there is a diagnostic mode, or how to get into it.

Thanks,

Mike

Should be able (if your lucky) to remove the filters underneath and access the turntable motor. There you can do a voltage check when the microwave is on....if you have voltage then the motor is bad....no voltage then probably a bad board.
