Good! That solenoid opens the ice door and the little sprung closes it when the circuit is deenergized. The spring mounting points should be evident once you get back in there.

For future reference: To remove front door panel - insert butter knife at arrow points - twist slightly - door panel pops off.

Spring attached - flapper stays CLOSED!
