I have an intermittent problem with the oven and broiler not functioning. When you turn either one on you can hear a relay click and a few seconds later it clicks off, then a few more seconds and the display will go back to the off display. I checked the ignitor circuit for both the oven and broiler and both are o.k. I checked the oven tempeture sensor and it was in range. If I manually hold the relay closed the oven will light and stay lit until I release it. I removed both the ERC board and the seperate relay board and looked them over but didnt see any damage. Is there any other components I should check that could cause the problem? It seems to not work when everything is cold, but if you have been cooking on top and the range top is warm then it will work most of the time. I suspect the problem is with the ERC board but need to test the relay board to see if it is losing power from the ERC when the relay disengages. Does anybody have any type of manuals that would have testing and trouble shooting procedures? Thanks

Once you initiate a command, it does not matter if the relays pull in or not, the ERC should hold that command until cancel is pressed or power is lost to the control Since you did not say the clock looses display when it goes back to off the relay board is fine and your ERC (Clock) is going to be the problem. If you are looking for the relay board output voltages to the clock and return voltages, if you shoot me the part number off the board I can send a voltage output test sheet I probably have in my old archive.

I dont have the part #'s handy now but can post them on Monday. I am going to try and warm up the ERC board area with a hair dryer to see if it starts working, if it does I guess I will look at it closer to see if I can find a problem. Does anyone know if there is a particular component that would be more likely to break down over time?

Just tested it. Figured out the colder the indoor tempeture the faster the relay unlatches. Went from 3 seconds(75 degrees) to 1 second (68 degrees)and was working fine in the summer (78-80). Used a hair dryer and warmed up the area in front of the ERC where the buttons are for about 1-2 minutes and it works like a charm. Now I need to figure out what components would be affected by a small tempeture change.

Just a quick update. Did some trouble shooting on the board with component cooler and narrowed it down to an area. After some component testing found a bad capacitor. Every thing works now and it only cost a $1 to fix.
