Hello, I have read many other peoples posts, but have not found a solution. The unit will fill with water and do everything except spin / agitate. The former W/P service person was pretty much a R&R tech who listenned to what Whirpool said, ordered parts, replaced parts and didn't fix the problem. The control board was replaced, the pump was replaced, the latch mechanism was replaced (I think). The last thing done before the guy gave up was ordering the entire from door assembly. This infamous part was backordered for about 6 months and never received (they finally gave me an offset for another machine - not really a great deal for me since the machine was only 12 months + a week or two old). Is it really possible for it to be the door assembly? It seams odd that if the unit thought the door was not sealed, it would fill with water, etc... Any suggestions? Any one know of any service notices (I tried some of the links but they wear broken) or Service Information? Thanks

Was the Motor Controller/Inverter Board ever replaced ? LHW0050PQ (1-4) What is that beast ? Hi, I ran the unit thru a short cycle and it does everything but move the drum. It fills, pumps out, etc... and unlatches at the end. I also do not hear the motor running so suspect the controller / motor / inverter. As an added bonus, I just pulled the top off again and found the belt lying in the bottom of the unit. I suspect the last person who worked on it left it there - although I can't imagine why if they thought it was the door latch.  I'll install the belt and run it again tomorrow although I did not hear the motor trying to operate so I'm not holdin my breath.

Thanks for the parts diagram. I replied to another post with some additional information. It there an easy way to test if it's the motor / inverter / logic board? I imagine I can test the motor for continuity but am not sure where to look for the drive signal into the inverter or what it should be.

Whirlpool just stuck their name on that POS, they don't build it. They do have a known defect in the door design that caused the issue you describe. The fix is a new door assembly. They have probably exhausted the supply of replacement parts, and just want the units to go away.

So the unit will fill with water and do everything but spin without the door interlock made? Yikes. I did put the belt back on with no improvement in the situation of course.

I have the same problem where the LHW0050PQ does not spin. Is the door interlock that flakey?
