You da man, RegUS! Had my first scare with the brand new machine. Less than 6 months old, and it's already acting funny. Over the weekend, we went to run a load, and it started making a buzzing/rattling sound from the fill area and no water was going into the machine. I checked the inlet lines, but they were clean. Tried to start the machine several times, but still the same thing every time. Called in a Whirlpool service guy for Monday. Checked it again Monday morning and still had the problem. Of course, when the guy arrived that afternoon, it worked absolutely fine! Grrr... After I told him about the old Maytag Neptune (yeah, THAT one), and how I fixed it, he was all excited. He advised me to clean out the drain hose after the pump every six months or so. His description sounded easy, but I wanted to be able to check out some diagrams before attempting. I appreciate the speedy response, and the manual will help me out with that little project this weekend. Thanks for the help, and the link to the service manual.
