Our 30' Wolf wall oven suddenly stopped working - no clock, no light, no beeps, no heat. Dead as a doornail it would seem. We did the usual troubleshooting - checked the circuit breakers, even tested the power going to the oven, which was fine. This state of torpor lasted about a week. Then, for no apparent reason, the panel lit up, displaying time that was within 10 minutes of correct and a "COMM ERR" message. After this development, and after wondering "what the heck" (well not exactly those words...), I pressed the timer button ,<ding>, then the oven off <ding> button. No change. Then I pressed button to hide the display. Opened the oven. Nothing. Then I pressed some more buttons, probably oven off, timer <ding><ding>, and voila, COMM ERR disappeared, the light came on when the door was opened and I can only assume the oven will work now. It seems normal! So, is there a logical explanation for this behavior? Or, should I call a priest?

Intermittent problems are hard to troubleshoot. However, the display going dead makes me think you may have a loose connection at the wall oven's power strip, in back. To check it, cut the circuit breaker and pull the the wall most of the way out of the cubby. Usually, you can turn it one way or the other to facilitate access to the power strip, where the power cable connects to the wall oven. Remove the cover plate and make sure those screws are goodntight.
