I have two Western Digital 750GB hard drives installed in a Galaxy Metal Gear 3538UC External Enclosure. The enclosure is connected to my computer via a USB 2.0 cable. The enclosure has LEDs to indicate the presence of HDs but neither of these light. the enclosure has power (Power LED lit) and I can hear the Hard Drives spin-up. Also, my computer gives an audible signal that a device has been connected but I do not see any new drive under My Computer and "Add New Hardware" does not detect the new drives. Do I need to format these drives in my computer before I put them in the enclosure? Any other suggestions? Thanks, Cosmo
