Hey all, heres the deal,Im selling my house and when we had the sellers

inspector come threw it was descover the A/C doesnt work.Ive lived in the house since 2003 and onlty truned on the a/c a handful of times. We have a pool so if your hot go for a swim!

There is power going outside to the unit.I cant say if there is any R12 in it as I dont have gauges. Is there a sight glass like cars have?

Can you point me in direction to look at?I want to keep costs low as Im selling the house.

Cheers RLD

 I RULE.....
fixed it.I pulled it apart and found two wires with merrets on them going to nothing.I noticed wires coming from wall going to nothing.so I guessed that they must be the wires from the thermostat telling the unit what to do.
I spiced in a chunk of wire and bingo she works. So Im guessing at some point snow or something got onto the wire and broke it or pulled it from the unit. Its always the simple thing.....

I would get those wires protected so it won't happen again. You probably whacked them dudes with a weed eater or a wild animal ate it. I can dig where you are coming from. Man your power bill must be pretty small. Had to get the inspector to find out the ac did not work? thats cool. No pun intended. LOL
